Akkerman Finland Oy informs that Tukes has today (23.3.2023) approved the Kolima and Kangasjärvi exploration permit applications (permit numbers ML2022:003 and ML2022:0045) at Keitele/Pihtipudas and Viitasaari municipalities. The decision can be seen at Tukes webpages (https://tukes.fi/malminetsintaluvat-ja-valtaukset) and the announcement is also published on the municipal website(s). Landowners and other essential parties have also been informed by Tukes.
The exploration permits can be appealed until the end of April, as informed in the decision.
If and when the permits have gained legal force, the company intends to start an initial drilling campaign to test 2 promising new targets discovered through the company’s EM survey in 2021, one at Kolima- the other at the Kangasjärvi VMS Project. Timing will depend on the outcome of any appeal process and the availability of the required drilling equipment.
